Paul David Tripp said:
It is discouraging to face:
- your struggle with sin;
- the disloyalty of a friend;
- the rebellion of your children;
- the souring of your marriage;
- the division of your church;
- the temptations that seem to be all around you;
- the injustice that lives in this fallen world;
- the pain and worry of physical sickness;
- the loss of your job;
- the hardship of old age; or
- the death of your dreams.“
Psalm 139: 16 reads; “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.”
God said in Psalm 135: 6-7; “Whatever the Lord pleases, HE does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all the deeps. He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; Who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings forth the wind from His treasuries.”
The point also is this; whatever discourages us doesn’t surprise God at all. He has ordained every things, yes everything – the every detail in your life from its beginning to the ends. He controls every twist and turn of the narrative of your life. He has a purpose designed for THE “ALL THINGS THAT HAPPEN” IN AND THROUGH US.
For the Lord has chosen His body of believers and those He gave faith and repentance to, for His own possession. He loves them, He chose them, He watches over them day and night, He LOVES them, so much so, that HE died for them and suffered the wrath, condemnation and justice from God the Father having ALL of our sin laid upon Him as He shed His blood for our atonement and died for us!
Then HE rose from the dead, to complete the final Glorification of His people! They are HIS bride, His own possession, they ARE CHILDREN OF GOD, SONS OF GOD FOREVER! That means that I am secure, and nothing happens to me that is NOT for the Glory of God, and for my Best interests!! Nothing whether it be pain, discouragement that may come, or whether it is even death. He is there! He never forsakes me and or you If you know HIM!
You are Loved! And because of that, should not we LOVE HIM supremely, and worship Him and seek to obey Him? Yes, we should!
Go in peace – Shalom! Selah! Maranatha! Amen!
